Electrolytically coated rolled flat products

Electro-galvanised steels are products consisting of a cold-rolled steel substrate coated with pure zinc by means of electrolysis, on one or both surfaces. This process makes it possible to preserve the mechanical and dimensional properties typical of cold-rolled strip, while adding effective corrosion protection.

Compared to hot-dip galvanisation, electrodeposition allows for thinner and more controlled coating thicknesses, with a uniform and smooth surface, ideal for applications requiring high aesthetic quality or subsequent surface treatments, such as painting.
