Metalservice cuts steel coils with dedicated longitudinal and transverse cutting lines manufactured by Novastilmec, partner of the Gabrielli Group. The latest-generation slitting systems cut modular steel strips with the utmost precision, even on materials of thin, medium, or heavy gauge. The transverse cutting lines cut sheets from coils, on the other hand, strictly complying with the required dimensional specifications. The high flexibility of the systems ensures production of personalised batches, ready for the subsequent processing stages.

Steel flattening: perfectly flat sheets for all applications

Steel flattening is a fundamental process in the making of high-quality flat sheets. The process begins with loading the steel coil onto the flattening machine equipped with high-precision rollers which apply constant pressure to the material.

This process eliminates deformations, waves and internal stresses in the strips, delivering perfectly flat and uniform sheets. The achieved flatness is a key  factor to ensure maximum workability in the following stages, such as rolling, cutting, forming and mechanical processing.

Cutting steel strips to length enables the cutting of steel strips into custom-cut sheets, ready for industrial use. The process is carried out by high-precision cutting machines which ensure compliance with thickness, width and squareness tolerances.

We carry out press bending subcontracted services, designed to meet all sheet bending needs, including upon the customer’s specific request. We are able to process all major types of sheet metal, with varying thicknesses and formats.

Thanks to high-performance systems, we carry out bending operations with a force of up to 3.200 tons and lengths of up to 17 meters, ensuring highly accurate results even on complex components.
