Cold-rolled non-oriented grain steel sheets and strips supplied in a semi-finished condition (SEMI-processed) – EN10341

The semi-processed sheet metal is annealed by the customer to obtain specific electromagnetic properties.

The EN 10341 standard defines the types of non-alloy and alloy electrical steel sheets and strips with non-oriented grains, cold-rolled and supplied in a semi-finished state, i.e., without final annealing, with a nominal thickness of 0,50 mm and 0,65 mm.

It also provides general requirements, magnetic properties, geometric characteristics, tolerances, technical characteristics, and control procedures.

Types of insulation

  • C5 insulation: there are different types and thicknesses of the paint layer, with high insulation resistance. They offer excellent weldability and shearability
  • C6 insulation: Inorganic / organic insulation: system C6 coatings are pressure-resistant, thermal-resistant up to 420°C and suitable for burn-off repair. They are also highly insulation-resistant
  • Backlack insulation: an innovative method for assembling electrical laminated sheet packs. Using a controlled chemical process, strips with this insulation are joined together in packs in a clean and compact manner
