Structural steel with high resistance to atmospheric corrosion (weathering steel) – EN 10025

Hot-rolled steels for structural uses offering high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion. They are characterised for their self-protective capability: thanks to a controlled oxidisation process, they develop a protective surface layer which regenerates itself in the event of scratches or abrasions, reducing maintenance requirements.

Some registered trademarks used on the market are COR-TEN A (cold-rolled), COR-TEN B (hot-rolled), INDATEN and PATINAX.

Having a low content of alloy elements, these weathering steels combine structural resistance and durability even in outdoor and aggressive environments, making them ideal for multiple applications.
